1. My car is only ONE year old and still has its manufacturer warranty (5 Year Warranty), will servicing it with Cathal Duffy Limited affect the warranty and possibly void it?

Your warranty is protected at all times with Cathal Duffy Limited. Genuine parts are used of OE (Original Equipment) standard. This ensures that your warranty is protected and always valid with the manufacturer. The Block Exemption legislation which was made EU Law, enables authorised independent garages like Cathal Duffy Limited to carry out car servicing without affecting a car's warranty. So no matter what car or van you drive your manufacturer's warranty is valid when using Cathal Duffy Limited.

2. The dealership whom I bought my car from new has advised me that I can ONLY go back to them or a main dealer for the same brand for all repairs and servicing?

This is definitely not the case, the advice given is incorrect and more importantly ILLEGAL. You cannot be "held to ransom" and as a consumer and under EU law you have the right to repair your vehicle anywhere you choose, your warranty is ALWAYS protected once you deal with an authorised repairer that uses Manufacturer approved parts no matter what age it is - Cathal Duffy Limited is your approved main dealer for such work!

3. Can my car be collected and delivered back to me?

We can arrange to have your vehicle collected to and from your home or place of work once within a reasonable distance from our workshop, to avail of this service simply call one of our advisors and we will arrange the finer details.

4. When are your opening hours?

Mon – Thu: 8.30am – 6.00pm
Friday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
Sat: 10.00am – 1.00pm (Sales only)
Sunday: Closed
After hours by appointment

5. How do I pay for the work?

It’s simple! One of our advisors will call you to let you know when the car service is completed. From here you can pay with your debit or credit card through our online payment system. Once the payment has been authorised the vehicle will be ready for collection.

6. What parts are used?

We ONLY use brand new manufacturer approved parts, this will protect your manufactures warranty at all times.

7. Is there any warranty offered on Parts?

Yes our parts are covered – Opel parts warranty is 2 years, other manufactures warranty is 1 year

8. What if I want to cancel the car service?

You can cancel the service at any point if you wish. However any work done up to that point must be paid for.

9. Can I re-arrange the date of a car service?

Yes you can as long as the date is arranged with one of our advisors 24 hours before the original service date.

10. What if my car needs extra work other than the service?

In such an event a Cathal Duffy Limited advisor will contact and inform you of the exact work that needs to be carried out. No work is ever started without your consent.
